Welcome to the Valvetronic Designs cat-back exhaust system for the F8x platform, or in other words, the solution to the F8x sound problem. For years enthusiasts have been wanting to find a solution to the buzzy and raspy sound these cars produce from the factory. Since these cars were released back in the late portions of 2018 we all knew there was an amazing sound lying under all the rasp. Our mission has been to find this hidden sound and allow all F8x owners to enjoy it. This full catback starts as a dual 2.5-inch setup featuring 2 resonators to eliminate the unwanted rasp. From there the system travels back and merges into a single 3.5 inch pipe. After the merge, the exhaust either exits out of the Drivers side exhaust tips when the valves are open or passes through our quad chambered muffler and out of the passenger side exhaust tips when the valves are closed for a lower volume experience. This system mounts up to factory mounting points and is a direct bolt-on. No cutting or welding is necessary. It's time to make your M2 Competition sound like it always should have.
Sound Dynamics:
Compared to all other exhausts on the market, the Valvetronic Designs and Equal Length gives a sound experience truly unknown to the S55. Gone is the unpleasant rasp of the competition's exhaust, in its place a smooth raw engaging sound all the way through the rev range. There are others on the market that produce an Equal Length exhaust set up but none of them come close to the true naturally aspirated sound you get from the Valvetronic Designs Setup. The system merges into a single 3.5 inch section to invoke that single turbo supra sound as the revs and the boost builds. It is truly a sound characteristic that must be hard in person.
