BMW E9X M3 3.5" Aluminum One-Piece Driveshaft

Upgrade your E90, E92, or E93 M3 with a lighter, stronger, and simpler one-piece aluminum driveshaft.

Our 3.5" aluminum driveshaft eliminates the factory two-piece design and its center support bearing, reducing weak points and drivetrain slop. Each shaft is built with billet transmission and differential adapters, a high-quality DANA slip yoke, and heavy-duty 1350-series U-joints for reliable performance in high-power street, drag, drift, and road-race applications. We use these shafts on all of our race cars.

Installation is straightforward, with no cutting or welding of factory driveshafts required. Simply bolt the complete assembly into place. Push up Ebrake cables, and bend heat shields to suit.

Kit Includes

  • 3.5" aluminum one-piece driveshaft
  • Billet transmission and differential adapters

Built to Order

Each driveshaft is built specifically for your application. Typical lead time is 2–3 business days.

Running an engine swap, transmission swap, or nonstandard differential combination? Contact us with your drivetrain specifications and we can build a driveshaft to suit your setup.

Balance

Every driveshaft is professionally zero-balanced before shipment. However, in rare cases, the vibration may originate from the M3 differential rather than the driveshaft itself.

BMW used specially weighted flange bolts or additional washers on certain E9X M3 differentials to fine-tune the differential’s balance. Depending on the differential, a heavier or longer bolt and washer may be required at a specific flange position. If the original balance hardware or factory markings are missing, some trial-and-error testing may be necessary to determine the correct bolt weight and location.

This is uncommon, but it should be considered before assuming a vibration is caused by the driveshaft. See link with info [HERE]
