We have exact quality control. Every layer created is mid-process QA inspected on the bed plate every pass to ensure the tolerances we designed are held down to 50 microns. 50 microns is the size of 10 red blood cells in width. That is the scale of measure we operate our quality index.
These are reinforced Nylon 12 with a Chopped Carbon Fiber injection material. This makes our cradles for the Cowl Filters not only strong, heat & chemical resistant, but true to our nature - Carbon Fiber!
Each beauty panel is house made carbon fiber, kevlar, aramid, hybrid, or forged carbon done using the NRW VARTM process - which is second to none to create the carbon top panels that insert into the cowl filters. Unbelievable details, incredible depth of the fibers, crystal clear Epoxy Resin, unparalleled glossy candy shell finish with our 3 stage Urethane UV Clear Coat.
The PolyFoam we use is a 20PPI filter media made specifically for the NRW Cowl Filters and has an optional Charcoal Second Stage Filter! The Second Stage filter is another layer that is replaceable for service intervals going forward absorbing bad engine bay smells due to VTA PCV systems etc. Usually, running without the charcoal filter is totally fine, but if you are sensitive to the odors under the hood into to cabin then we would recommend the second stage add on for $10.00 per set.
